[ Proclamation No. 2422, May 22, 1985 ]

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 2412 DATED APRIL 9, 1985, DECLARING APRIL 10, 1985 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS “NUEVA VIZCAYA DAY”.

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 2412 dated April 9, 1985, the President declared April 10, 1985 as “Nueva Vizcaya Day” to commemorate the foundation day of said province;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Nueva Vizcaya in its Resolution No. 191, series of 1985, requested the amendment of the aforesaid proclamation by changing the designated “Nueva Vizcaya Day” from April 10, 1985 to May 24, 1985 and making it a special non-working public holiday, the latter date being recognized as the actual foundation day of the province in accordance with the Royal Decree of Spain dated April 10, 1841;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 2412 dated April 9, 1985 by changing the date of the “Nueva Vizcaya Day” from April 10, 1985 to May 24, 1985 and making it a special non-working public holiday in the province of Nueva Vizcaya.1aшphi1
