PROCLAMATION NO. 2296

DECLARING FRIDAY, JULY 1, 1983, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN SOUTHERN LEYTE.

WHEREAS, July 1, 1983, marks the 23rd anniversary of the creation of the province of Southern Leyte; and

WHEREAS, the people of the said province should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, July 1, 1983, as a special public holiday in Southern Leyte. It shall, however, be a regular working and school day.⚖ - ℒαɯρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
