PROCLAMATION NO. 2230
DECLARING THURSDAY, AUGUST 19, 1982, AS A NON-WORKING SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN QUEZON CITY.
WHEREAS, Thursday, August 19, 1982, marks the 104th birth anniversary of the late President Manuel L. Quezon, one of the foremost leaders and statesmen the country ever produced; and
WHEREAS, the residents of Quezon City desire to celebrate his birthday with fitting ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Thursday, August 19, 1982, as a non-working special public holiday in Quezon City.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
