PROCLAMATION NO. 2142

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9, 1981, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ANTIQUE.

WHEREAS, Wednesday, December 9, 1981, marks the Quadricentennial Anniversary of Christianity in the province of Antique; and

WHEREAS, the people of Antique should be given full opportunity to celebrate this religious milestone;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Wednesday December 9, 1981, as a special public holiday in the province of Antique.

IN WITNESS, WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 1st day of December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-one.
