PROCLAMATION NO. 2036

AUTHORIZING THE WORLD SAFETY ORGANIZATION TO CONDUCT AN EDUCATIONAL, MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN FROM JANUARY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1981.

WHEREAS, the promotion of safety and accident prevention is a very important task of all our people, agencies and other institutions;

WHEREAS, the elimination or minimization of accidents contribute to the reduction of costs, losses and damage to life and property thereby contributing to the well-being of our country and people;

WHEREAS, the establishment in 1975 of the World Safety Organization in the Philippines by delegates to the First World Safety and Accident Prevention Congress is of great benefit to the Philippines as the most modern technology and methodology in safety and accident prevention assuredly and immediately reach our shores;

WHEREAS, since its inception, the World Safety Organization operates its services and discharges its activities mainly through membership fees and proceeds from seminars and contributions;

WHEREAS, the World Society Organization has been contributing its share in the development of international understanding, in the promotion of travel and tourism through the international safety experts coming in and out of our country; and the promotion of making safety a way of life among our people; and

WHEREAS, the Philippines in a gesture of support to the objectives, tenets and goals of internationalizing the safety movement, extends its assistance to the World Safety Organization;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the World Safety Organization to conduct an educational, membership and fund campaign from January 1 to December 31, 1981.ℒαwρhi৷

I enjoin all residents, business firms, civic, educational, religious and government institutions to support this campaign.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
