PROCLAMATION NO. 1986

DESIGNATING JUNE 1, 1980 TO MAY 31, 1981, AS THE PERIOD FOR THE NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE KAPATIRANG SCOUT NG PILIPINAS (KSP).

WHEREAS, the moral and financial support of our people is greatly needed by the Kapatirang Scout Ng Pilipinas in pursuance of its objectives of character building and citizenship training of boys, promoting world brotherhood and contribution to the building of the nation;

WHEREAS, with its present membership of more than two million boys and adult leaders, which is the largest in the Asia-Pacific Region and second largest in the world, the Kapatirang Scout Ng Pilipinas exerts a tremendous influence in the development of a responsible citizenry and in forging a healthy and progressive national community; and

WHEREAS, this yearly fund campaign of the Kapatirang Scout Ng Pilipinas will once more give the people an opportunity to contribute and insure the continuity of a worthy cause that has a far-reaching effect upon the commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby designate June 1, 1980 to March 31, 1981, as the period for the annual national fund campaign of the Kapatirang Scout Ng Pilipinas (KSP). I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, including government officials and employees, to cooperate and assist in this fund drive and to give it their unlimited support in order that it may be able to continue its noble mission of service to the youth of our land.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
