[ Memorandum Circular No. 1220, August 20, 1981 ]

URGING GOVERNMENT OFFICES CONCERNED TO EXTEND MAXIMUM SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO THE NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL TESTING CENTER, MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND CULTURE, IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONDUCT OF THE NATIONAL COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (NCEE).

WHEREAS, the National Educational Testing Center (NETC), Ministry of Education and Culture is charged with the duty of administering the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE) required of all high school graduates seeking admission to past-secondary degree programs pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 146;

WHEREAS, the NCEE is scheduled to be given on October 11, 1981 in about 1,444 examination centers throughout the country to more than half-a-million examinees, a job which requires the cooperation and assistance of all offices concerned of the government;

WHEREFORE, the Ministry of National Defense, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the National Intelligence and Security Authority, the Integrated National Police, and the Philippine Ports Authority, are hereby urged to extend maximum support and assistance to the NETC, MEC, to ensure full security and smooth administration of the 1981 NCEE all over the country.

The Ministry of Local Government and Community Development, the Philippine National Railways, the Philippine Airlines, the Ministry of Public Highways, the Ministry of Public Works, the National Irrigation Administration, and the National Food Authority are hereby enjoined to share such travel facilities as may be deemed necessary for the smooth implementation of the aforementioned examination.

The Ministry of Public Information, the National Media Production Center, and the National Computer Center, are likewise enjoined to extend maximum support and assistance relative to the dissemination of essential information pertaining to the holding of the examination throughout the country and the processing of test results.1aшphi1
