REQUIRING GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE METRO MANILA AREA TO ATTEND THE CEREMONIES AT THE LUNETA ON JUNE 12, 1981, ON THE OCCASION OF THE 83RD ANNIVERSARY OF THE PROCLAMATION OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE.

The 63rd anniversary celebration of Philippine Independence will be held at the Luneta starting promptly at 8:00 a.m. on June 12, 1981, highlighted by the hoisting of the Philippine Flag to be led by His Excellency, the President of the Philippines.1aшphi1

In view of the significance of the occasion, it is imperative that the ceremonies be witnessed and participated in by government officials and employees. It is therefore, hereby directed that all ministries, bureaus, agencies, independent offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations or financial institutions in the Metro Manila area require at least five hundred (500) of their officials and employees except those with less than 1,000 employees, which may require at least fifty percent (50%) of their personnel, to attend the ceremonies.

Strict compliance with this Circular is hereby enjoined.
