AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF CERTAIN GOVERNMENT PHYSICIANS IN THE “FIRST NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH.”

The Philippine Association of Occupational Medicine (PAOM), a private organization dedicated to the improvement and promotion of the health and welfare of the gainfully employed men and women throughout the country, will host and sponsor the “FIRST NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH” on January 27-29, 1966, in Manila. The conference theme is “TOWARDS A MORE RESPONSIVE OCCUPATIGUAL HEALTH SERVICES IN INDUSTRY.”

In view of the continuing need to focus attention on the health and welfare of the gainfully employed men and women and considering that lasting benefits could be derived from discussions of the various aspects of occupational health services, all heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations are hereby enjoined to authorize the attendance in the conference on official time of their respective office physicians who are members of the host association  Their attendance, however, shall not involve any expense outside of salary during the conference period.1âшphi1

The delegates shall submit to their respective agnecy heads a report of their attendance and participation in the conference.
