AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF GOVERNMENT GEOLOGISTS IN THE SECOND GEOLOGICAL CONVENTION AND FIRST SYMPOSIUM ON THE GEOLOGY OF THE MINERAL RESOURCES OF THE PHILIPPINES AND NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES.

The Second Geologic Convention and First Symposium gift the Geology of the Mineral Resources of the Philippines and Neighboring Countries will be held in Manila on January 11-14, 11967, under the auspices of the Geological Society of the Philippines.

The symposium portion of the occasion will feature an exchange of ideas and information among geologists and other earth scientists from which fuller understanding of theology of the mineral resources of the country is expected to be gained.

In line with the administration’s policy of promoting the development of the mineral resources of the country, all departments, bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations, employing geologists or in which members of the sponsoring association are employed, are hereby authorized to send not more than three such technical persons to the Convention-Symposium on official pine with expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging and conference foes chargeable against the appropriations of their respective office, subject be the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements. This limitation in number does not apply to the Bureau of Mines .and to convention officials.1âшphi1

The delegates shall submit to their respective agency heads a report of their attendance and participation in the Convention-Symposium. The Geological Society of the Philippines shall render report on the Convention-Symposium to the Civil Service Commission.
