EXTENDING THE CEBU BURNT DISTRICT

For the purpose of widening and improving certain streets in the City of Cebu, as contemplated in the approved development plan for this City, I, MANUEL L. QUEZON, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend the Cebu Burnt Area to include that part of the City of Cebu bounded by Legaspi Street on the North, Martires Street on the east, Juan Luna on the south, and Sanciangco Street on the west, and placed said area under the jurisdiction and control of the committee appointed under Act Numbered One thousand three hundred ninety-three, entitled “An Act providing for the widening of the streets and the adjustment of ownership of the land located within certain specified limits in the municipality of Cebu, Province of Cebu,” as amended by Acts Numbered One thousand nine hundred ninety and Two thousand one hundred fifty.

Done at the City of Manila, this thirty-first day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-seven, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the second.
