CREATING A NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE CELEBRATION OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY ON 12 JUNE 1993

Pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby create a National Committee to take charge of the celebration of Philippine Independence Day on 12 June 1993.

The Committee shall be composed of the following:

Secretary of Finance – Chairman

Secretary of National Defense – Vice-Chairman

Secretary of Foreign Affairs – Member

Secretary of Agriculture – Member

Secretary of Public Works and Highways – Member

Secretary of Education, Culture, and Sports – Member

Secretary of Labor and Employment – Member

Secretary of Interior and Local Government – Member

Secretary of Tourism – Member

Secretary of Transportation and Communications – Member

Secretary of Social Welfare and Development – Member

Secretary of Budget and Management – Member

Press Secretary – Member

Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines – Member

Chief of the Philippine National Police – Member

Head, Presidential Management Staff – Member

Chief of Presidential Protocol – Member

Chairman, Metro Manila Authority – Member

Chairman of the National Historical Institute – Member

The Committee shall meet at the call of the Chairman and for purposes of discharging its functions, it may create such sub-committees as may be necessary.ℒαwρhi৷

The Committee is hereby authorized to call upon any department, bureau, office, agency or instrumentality of the government, including government-owned or controlled corporations, for such assistance as it may need in the discharge of its functions.
