[ ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 450, May 16, 1981 ]

ELIMINATING THE REQUIREMENT OF A LETTER OF CONFIRMATION AND TAX CLEARANCE FOR PARTICIPATING IN PUBLIC BIDDING AND OTHER PURPOSES, BY REPEALING ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 66

WHEREAS, our people has developed a high sense of civic responsibility as shown by the improved level of compliance and increasing amount of taxes paid over the years;

WHEREAS, some administrative requirements became archaic, and onerous that their continued enforcement unduly burdens the public;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do. hereby repeal Administrative Order No. 66 requiring the presentation; of a Letter of Confirmation (BIR Form No. 19.65-A-1) and BIR Tax Clearance (BIR Form No. 17.61) as prerequisites to participate in any public bidding with the government or any of its-agencies including government-owned and controlled corporations and for other similar purposes.£A⩊phi£
